The rhetoric, the ideas, the philosophy, it's all about an appeal to the past back in the good old days back when things

were better you know the way they used to be and if you thought about it enough and you

Rejection of modernism basically means that enlightenment is bad.

New ideas, new innovations, new theories are bad.
