So today, we're going to talk about the Marines leaving LA and what it means.

The Marines have been pulled out of Los Angeles.

Hundreds of Marines have been pulled from the city after they were deployed by the Trump administration, in a move they said

was to calm things down. But Trump's deployment actually wound up in flaming the situation.

Now, the Pentagon says things have stabilized. The Marines were very limited in their presence in

L.A. They were basically at two locations.

The most high-profile use of Marines in the city wound up being a mess.

They detained a veteran who was reportedly in a rush to get to his VA appointment.

The move to remove the Marines comes shortly after the removal of thousands of

National Guard troops, but more Guard troops still remain. California officials are taking

victory laps about the withdrawals. The mayor posted quote, the Marines are withdrawing.

This is another win for Los Angeles.

In another post, the mayor said, quote, today, veterans and the families of service members stand together to say, enough with the political stunts, enough with the intimidation,

enough with using our military as pawns.

Support our troops.

In the deployment in Los Angeles now.

The governor said, quote,

The women and men of the California National Guard deserve more than to continue serving as puppets in Trump

and Stephen Miller's performative political theater.

There was never a need for the military to deploy against civilians in Los Angeles.

The damage is done, however.
