Well, howdy there internet people? It's Bell again. So today we're going to talk about the House

GOP, the budget, and the path Republicans chose for the economy. As we discussed before, Republicans in the House have been

playing games with the budget and running the risk of a government shutdown

again. Well, they've unveiled their plan for the budget.

They just decided it was too much work.

There won't be a budget.

Instead, they'll opt for a continuing resolution

that will keep the government open and running but won't actually establish any long-term

plan.

At least, it does provide additional money for FEMA and some cash for the inauguration.

The resolution will keep things running until the end of March.

Movement on their plan could start as soon as Monday and you might even see a vote within the week.

Okay well at least they put forth a plan.

Well, kind of.

Remember those non-budget conservative wishless items we talked about them wanting to attach? Yeah, there's a bit of that. They put

conservative wishless items in a continuing resolution. It's not even a budget. Not

even all of their own party supports their wishless item, which is the proof of citizenship

requirement for registration to vote thing?

Reminder, it's illegal to vote in a federal or state election if you aren't a citizen.

There are a few places that allow it at local levels.

But let's say you really want to add a layer of bureaucracy and government checking papers.

And you don't care about the additional risk of Americans being purged from voter rolls because
