Well, howdy there internet people? It's Bowe again. So today we are going to talk about

college majors and how much they pay within five years of leaving college and what it can tell us about the shape of

the country and where the country is going to continue to trend.

Saw this little bit of information and just, it's pretty stark. So the research itself was done by the Fed. Now the top 10 majors by median salary within five years of graduation.

Chemical engineering, computer engineering, computer science,

aerospace engineering,

electrical engineering, industrial engineering,

mechanical engineering, miscellaneous engineering,

business analytics, and civil engineering.

No real surprises there.

These range 65 to 75,000.

Not a lot of shocking majors here. I think most people know these are good jobs right away.

But let's look at the lowest pay.

Theology and religion, social services, family and Consumer Sciences, Psychology, Leisure and Hospitality, Performing Arts,

Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education. early childhood education, elementary education, special education, miscellaneous education.

These range from 36 to 40,000 a year.

It's a lot of education jobs.

A lot of education jobs.

It is the lowest paid majors coming out of college.

That's pretty telling about our society, right?

Really shows what we value, what we don't value.
