Trump's attempt to alter the electoral votes and how it failed in Nebraska.

Trump allies have been pushing for a special legislative session in Nebraska

to alter the way the state hands out its electoral votes.

The idea is to make it an all or nothing state. So the winner of the popular

vote would get all of the state's electoral votes. This is the way it works in most states,

but back in the early 90s, Nebraska decided to award its electoral votes by Congressional District.

Occasionally, the Democratic Party picks up a single electoral vote in the state.

That's right.

Team Trump is so panicked about his chances that they are pushing to change the electoral

allocation of a state over the possibility of one

electoral vote. Trump put on his own version of Charm offensive to push for it.

Posting, a very smart and popular governor who has done some

really great things came out today with a very strong letter in support of

returning Nebraska's electoral votes to a winner-take-all system.

Most Nebraskaans have wanted to go back to this system for a very long time, because it's

what 48 other states do. It's what the founders

intended and it's right for Nebraska. Thank you governor for your bold leadership.
