Summary

We did a deep dive on Ohio State's 2023 defense on Monday's show. Today, Matt Baxendell and Dave Biddle take a close gander at what to expect from the Buckeyes' offense this season. Presuming he is the starting quarterback, how will Kyle McCord perform? Throwing to the best WR corps in the country will help the cause for sure. But what about the offensive line? Are we concerned? Should we be? What do we expect out of the running backs? What about the tight ends? That is coming your way on the Wednesday 5ish. Good morning bucknoters, welcome to the Buck Nuts morning 5 here

0:29.9

on Wednesday July 19th 2023. I am David Vittel very happy joined by Matt

0:34.4

Baxendale. We're going to do a deep dive on the Buck Eyes offense what to

0:39.1

expect from the Buck Eyes offense this season. I talked about the Buck Eyes

0:42.7

defense on Monday show. Bax America break down what to expect from the 2023

0:47.8

offense. Let's start at the top with quarterback Kyle McCord presuming he is the

0:53.2

guy. What do you expect out of him if Devon Brown needs to go in there either

0:56.8

because he beats out McCord McCord's ineffective or because McCord gets hurt.

1:01.0

What do you expect at a Devon Brown the first and foremost presuming McCord is

1:04.6

the starter. What do you expect out of him Bax? Well, I certainly hope that we're

1:08.9

not sitting here having a quarterback battle in late August. At least not a

1:13.3

legitimate one. I can see Ryan Day dragging this thing out to officially

1:16.5

announce McCord is the guy, but I certainly hope at this point after what we

1:20.1

saw in the spring that McCord's at the point where he's taking the job.

1:23.7

Otherwise, that's a bit concerning to me. Now, I think realistically speaking,

1:28.5

I think we can expect McCord to have a nice season. By nice season, do I mean

1:34.5

as good as Stroud haskins in fields have been? I would say that that's not

1:40.2

unreasonable based on the fact that Ryan Day has been plug and play in three

1:44.1

very different stylistic quarterbacks over the course of his career.

1:48.1

If McCord is anywhere as good as Ryan Day thought he was in recruiting and

1:53.1

clearly would be to give him the keys to the car on offense,

1:56.7

then we have to expect that this guy is able to throw the football with accuracy.
