GOP impeachment report on Biden. First glances, and what happens next? House Republicans spent about two years investigating President Biden and his family.

What do they have to show for it?

An almost 300-page report filled with the same allegations that we've heard for years.

The report says he committed impeachable offenses, though it does not include any recommendation

for specific articles of impeachment.

House Republicans are saying they will leave how to pursue that up to the House.

It isn't clear that they'd have the votes for impeachment in the House even if articles were drawn up.

If they were drawn up and passed the House, they would go to the Senate, where they would

face an uncertain fate without evidence.

Given that Congress is only in session for about three weeks

before breaking until after the election,

it seems like a political stunt. It could only seem more like a political stunt if they had timed the release of the report to be politically advantageous.

It should be obvious to even the most casual observer that the report release is designed to divert attention away from the DNC.

Most Democratic Party insiders will likely have the opinion of don't talk about it, be about

it.

Introduce the articles, try to make the case, and take the vote. Let's see what happens.
