Well, howdy there internet people, let's bow again.

So today we are going to talk about Texas and Mexico.

And some reporting that has come out that even though at the moment it's not incredibly in depth the

information that is available leads me to be believe this is going to be

kind of an ongoing story and that it will have a lot of political

implications down the road. So we will talk about what information is available

likely reasons this occurred. Okay so according to reporting, a Texas National Guard troop somewhere near El Paso, who was assigned

to Operation Lone Star, discharged their weapon.

The round flew over the Rio Grande,

according to the reporting,

and struck someone in the leg in Mexico.

That person, from what I understand, was taken to a hospital in Juarez

and they're okay, they've been released.

Understandably, the Mexican Foreign Ministry is concerned

about U.S. rounds entering their country.

The Texas Military Department, they oversee the Texas National Guard,

they do have a statement.

It says, on the night of 26 August,

a National Guard service member assigned Operation Loan Start,

discharge a weapon in a border-related incident.
