Well, howdy there, internet people, it's bell again. So today, we're going to talk about

South Carolina Republicans pulling in Indiana. When Trump used the primaries to exact his revenge on

Indiana Republicans, who blocked his nationwide gerrymander push in their state.

He probably thought that would stop resistance to his plans to undermine the voice of the

American people in the U.S. House of Representatives. He sent a very clear message to Republican

state legislators. Obey. Well, South Carolina must have

bad reception because the Republicans there didn't get that message. The state senate had already

derailed his gerrymander push once when it came back up this week. They didn't buckle.

Republican State Senator Richard Cash, who wasn't part of the Republican group that blocked

the last effort, voted it down and said, quote, South Carolina citizens are going to the polls today, and neither my conscience or

common sense is going to let me stop an election that is already underway. Obviously,

there's more to it than that, because Republicans blocked the last effort and voting hadn't

started.

The last time we talked about this a couple of weeks ago,

I said Trump's map had an origin issue.

The map maker is the same person who made the Texas map.

It's not a map from Charleston. It's a map from D.C.

South Carolina has conservatives who say states' rights and mean it in ways that aren't about racism.

Or at least mean it in additional ways.

South Carolina is not a place that wants to have its state character dictated by a bunch of politicians in D.C., taking orders from a New York establishment billionaire.

Honestly, as soon as we found out where the map was from, we doubted it would move forward.

We joked about them shooting at Fort Sumter again.
