So today, we're going to talk about a second SECDF signal surfacing.

Well, in news that should be shocking, but totally isn't,

reporting has surfaced that Secretary of Defense Pete Hexeth was in a signal chat,

sharing sensitive military information.

I know. I know you heard about this last month. No. This is reported to be a different signal chat,

but this one didn't have a journalist from the Atlantic in it. It did reportedly have his wife and brother in the chat.

So there's that. This administration is already an endless deluge of you have got to be kidding me.

For those who missed the reporting the first time, Signal is a commercial app that is not approved for the transmission of classified information.

The reporting says that sensitive information was shared, including the type of information

that many, even Republican senators, believe should have been classified. Generally speaking, detailed

information about upcoming air campaigns is classified.

The second signal chat is alleged to have had material very similar to the first shared

regarding upcoming operations in Yemen.

The White House has called the incident a non-story.

The Secretary of Defense's actions are the subject of a reported

DOD Inspector General investigation that was undertaken at the request of senators, including

the Republican chairman of the Senate Armed Services Committee. Senator Jack Reed, who is the ranking

Democratic member on the same committee,

took to social media to encourage the Inspector General to broaden the scope of investigation,

to include the latest known signal chat. The initial investigation was announced near the beginning
