Well, howdy there, internet people, it's a bow again. So today we are going to talk about

Russia and India and the moon and what happened and what it means. Recently we talked about what was occurring. A brief recap is that

Russia and India were attempting to land on the south pole of the moon.

Did a little bit of exploration.

It was a friendly, informal space race in a way.

It is worth remembering that Russia as a country has not landed on the moon.

The only three countries that have been capable of doing that,

the United States, the Soviet Union, and China.

That's it.

Russia needed this.

They needed this from a PR standpoint,

from an international standing standpoint.

They needed this.

So what happened?

The statement says,

the apparatus moved into an unpredictable orbit

and ceased to exist as a result of a collision with the surface of the moon.

That is a super fancy way to say it crashed.

It crashed. So Russia still has not successfully put something on the moon. So in that little informal space race, well Russia tripped.

India appears to be taking its time.

It's looking for a safe spot to put its lander down. If they do so they will be

the fourth country to have landed on the moon. This is not something Russian needed.
