So today, we're going to talk about Rubio and Trump giving it away.

They stuck to the predetermined line. Maybe they didn't know it leaked.

So in the run-up to any conflict, the U.S. government tends to workshop the best ways to sell the American people on the conflict.

There's normally a pretty well-thought-out media blitz that starts as soon as they settle on one. But sometimes that

doesn't happen. On Monday, Secretary of State Rubio was talking to reporters when he said, quote,

It was abundantly clear that if Iran came under attack by anyone, the United States or Israel or anyone, they were going to

respond and respond against the United States. He went on, quote, we knew that there was going to be

in Israeli action. We knew that that would precipitate an attack against American forces,

and we knew that if we didn't preemptively go after them before they launched those attacks,

we would suffer higher casualties. For those that watch every episode, that might trigger a little deja vu.

It sounds familiar, right?

Almost ridiculously so.

The thing is, it'll probably work anyway, because most Americans have their own lives to lead

and don't actually pay attention to foreign policy until the bombs start dropping.

Once they start falling, Red Team Blue Team mentality takes over, and they don't always go back

to see the little bits of info that came out beforehand.
