Well, howdy there internet people, let's bow again. So today we are going to talk

about the RNC's new platform, the Trump-backed platform for the Republican

Party. We are going to talk about

some headlines. We're going to talk about the 14th Amendment and we are going to talk

about some confusion that is likely to occur.

And then we're going to talk about why they did it this way,

and that's the most important part. To get

started I'm going to read some excerpts from some headlines about the RNC's new

platform and this is just to kind of showcase why I am, well

let's just call it agitated. Okay, so Trump-backed platform softening abortion language.

Republicans adopt platform that softens stance, softens language, scaled back language. These are from all different

outlets and then you have one from the AP.

Republicans move at Trump's behest to change how they will oppose abortion.

Guess which one's right.

If you've ever wondered why I recommend the AP, there you go. There is no

softening going on. None. That's a trick.

So what's actually happening? This is from the platform, quote, on the issue of life.

We proudly stand for families and life.

We believe that the 14th Amendment to the Constitution of the United States guarantees that

no person can be denied life or liberty without due process, and that the states are therefore free to pass laws

protecting those rights. Well that's weird. The states are going to pass laws protecting those rights.

I mean I know I'm not a constitutional scholar or anything,
