Well, howdy there, Internet people, it's Bell again. So today, we're going to talk about Republicans

in deep red areas, feeling backlash against Trump. Republicans in Congress have been advised to

avoid holding town halls by the leadership. Well, two Republicans in deep red areas disregarded that advice.

It worked out about as well as you'd imagine. In Iowa, Senator Chuck Grassley disregarded the advice,

and in a small city building, the crowd of people wanting to get in spilled out onto the streets.

They weren't fans of the senator.

The attendees pressed the senator on a list of subjects. One asked, quote, are you proud of voting for

Trump? What he's doing in office? Are you proud of everything he's doing right here? Grassley responded

by saying there was no president he agreed with

100%. The person responded by saying, quote, I didn't say that. I said, are you proud he's in?

Grassley didn't answer whether or not he was proud of Trump and took a different question. He was

asked about how the tariffs would

affect a woman's son who has cattle. He said, quote, it's too early to make a judgment. Well,

I can provide a little insight. Just with China, the cattle trade is worth about 1.6 billion.

China halted it and is filling its need with Australian beef. I don't think it's too early to say it's going to hurt the cattle

industry. In a deep red part of Georgia, Marjorie Taylor Green held a town hall. That went even worse.

Multiple people were removed by law enforcement,

and one was tased when they tried to re-enter. These are incredibly red areas. Grassley won his

last election by around 12 or 13 points, and Green won hers by almost 30. While Green is probably safe regardless,

Grassley's reelection chances may hinge on how bad Trump's tariffs are for the state.

But the real message being sent by these events going this way,

is it really to the candidates who feel comfortable enough holding town halls against the advice of leadership.
