Well, howdy there internet people, it's Bell again. So today we're going to talk about recession, recruitment, talking points, and one of your questions.

So one of you sent me a message talking about a conversation they were having with their sibling.

The person is trying to connect the dots.

The sibling had a bunch of questions about different topics and I'll try to get all of them, but not all in one video.

they show how the flood the zone approach works. The economy and US military

power. You hear it all the time. It's a recession and we're having a recruitment crisis in the military.

Choose one because only one will be true.

Historically, during times of recession or hard economic times,

military recruitment goes up.

During a horrible economy, people get out of high school or college, take a look at the economic

situation and sign up for the military in a non-combat arms field.

Normally, they do this and sign up for the field they wanted to work in, like

say aircraft mechanic. They see a steady paycheck, benefits, and the opportunity to gain a few years of experience in their

chosen field. Now, before we go further, the right-wing response to this is that the

military went woke under Biden. That's why

recruitment went down. That's a lie. Unless they're saying Trump made the

military woke because the recruitment issue started in 2018.

What people are feeling is not because of normal economic indicators.

It's the result of the inherent inequality in the current system.
