Rand Paul calling out GOP book cooking. We've talked repeatedly about how Republican claims

trillion over 10 years. Then we got signs that they were going to try to play their base in

various ways. One way was multiple packages.

The first package would include cuts. The second and third would include a bunch of deficit

spending after they claimed victory. Republican Senator Rand Paul has identified another way

they plan on deceiving their base with what he calls

fake payfors. In Capitol Hill speak, a pay for is a cut to one part of the government so there

can be additional spending elsewhere. The Senate GOP package is expected to include hundreds of billions of dollars in new additional

spending. It seems like Paul found out, they were going to try to say they cut Biden's student

loan forgiveness program so they could hand more money over to defense contractors.
