Well, howdy there internet people, it's Bow again.

So today we are going to talk about Paxton's polling predicament prior to the proceedings.

Those proceedings start on Tuesday.

Okay, so Paxton, Attorney General out there in Texas,

was impeached and now the trial for that impeached and now the the trial for that impeachment is going to begin on

Tuesday there was some polling conducted in August that is probably pretty concerning for Paxton. They aren't horrible, but

there isn't a steadfast resolve to support him.

Okay, so what are the numbers say?

Let's start with the obvious.

About 75% of Democrats believe that the proceedings are warranted, that the charges are warranted.

No big surprise there. 42% of independents believe that the charges are warranted.

No big surprise there.

28% of Republicans believe the charges are warranted.

That's actually kind of a big number from within your own party.

What's more concerning for Paxton is that 33% of Republicans say that it's not. 39% are unsure. It does not seem like

Pakistan is given is being given the benefit of the doubt on this one by his own party.

A remotely even break there as far as the unsure. that's, I mean, that's a divided Republican Party.

That's something else right there.

Now, here's the thing. If we're going to be honest, the polling doesn't matter. I mean,

it does, but it also doesn't. The proceedings haven't started yet. So this polling is before any

of the information has come out that a lot of the people in the legislature, maybe they already know what it is.

So that information, it can go either way.
