| 0:00.0 | Well, howdy there, Internet people, it spell again. |
| 0:05.0 | So today, we're going to talk about organizing, structure, and a survival myth. |
| 0:12.0 | We got this question, and it's an interesting one, and it's really relevant to those who are community networking, |
| 0:20.0 | and it deals with something that |
| 0:22.4 | often has to be trained out of the veteran community. Okay, here's the question. Bell, after everything |
| 0:31.2 | that's gone on with the disasters here in Washington State, the group I've been pushing for years |
| 0:37.1 | to form a community network is finally |
| 0:39.8 | ready and having serious meetings and discussions about it so we can be ready for the next disaster, |

| 1:26.2 | people who have been running a functioning network for 10 years, and, as I've recently discovered, are mostly vets. |
| 1:34.6 | So, why did you not use the structure most of you are more comfortable with? |
| 1:41.7 | Military structure is perfect for following orders to achieve well-defined short-term objectives. |
| 1:49.0 | The order is Sergeant Take That Hill, not Sergeant, take that hill, build a rapport with the locals, |
| 1:56.7 | establish a working relationship with the village on the next hill, and take care of anything |
| 2:02.1 | else that comes up. |
| 2:04.6 | Some of the vets watching this are going to say, well, that kind of happened in conflicts |
| 2:09.7 | X and Y. |
