The one in New Mexico is catching a lot of attention

because it has displaced thousands. If you are one of those people who is

being evacuated, The most recent information I have says they

are directing people to Roswell. It looks like 13,000 acres or more, 500 structures, and there has been one death confirmed so far.

The reason this one is spreading as quickly as it is is what you might expect.

High winds, it's dry, there's a lot of fuel on the ground, and it's dry. a lot of fuel on the ground and it's hot.

It's kind of a perfect storm for fires.

Now one of the things that has popped up in a lot of the coverage and it's just it just

keeps showing up and I think it's kind of something that's worth noting is that a lot of people said they got the text

and the text was go now all caps do not attempt to gather belongings. Just basically get out right this minute.

And most people say that their drive,

a 15 minute drive took two hours. A 10 minute drive took an hour and a half because

everybody was trying to leave at once.

So if there's a lesson to be learned
