Well, howdy there internet people, let's bow again. So today we are going to talk about

Trump and Biden and we're going to go over some polling. Now keep in mind polling this early on. Most of it is

completely irrelevant. It does not matter. Most polling at this point is really measuring enthusiasm for the candidate in the primary.

That's really what it's measuring and it's not a great indicator of how somebody's going to do in the general.

So at this point I tend to ignore it.

However, there is one aspect of it that tends to kind of hold true.

And we're going to look at that for a second.

And it was something that I definitely underestimated in 2016.

And that's not the enthusiasm for a candidate. It's the enthusiasm against a candidate.

Negative voter turnout. It's one of those things that doesn't get, it doesn't really get acknowledged enough in polling and it's one of those things that

leads to unlikely voters which is frankly something that's been shaping elections lately.

So we're not going to be looking at numbers of people who have said I'm definitely

going to vote for this person.

We're going to be looking at numbers for people who said I'm definitely not voting for

this person.

Okay. this person. Okay, so we will start with Biden.

11% said they probably won't vote for Biden.

43% said they definitely won't vote for Biden.

That's a total of 54%. That's bad. That is a lot of enthusiasm against the candidate. But what you really need to look at is that

definitely won't, 43%. Those numbers really don't seem to change. There's not a lot of people who have an incredibly

negative view of someone who throughout a political season decide to think

they're a good person.
