Well, howdy there, internet people, it's Bob, again.

So today we're going to talk about the return of some artifacts,

and how many times I'm going to make a video like this because I had a friend ask a question

I found the answer and I think this may shed a little bit of light on

on why this is so important and why talking about it is so important.

Okay, so in this instance, 150 artifacts were or have been returned to the Oglala and Chayan River Sioux from a museum in Massachusetts.

These artifacts are believed

to have been taken from a grave site at Wounded Knee.

The artifacts include clothing, weapons, and personal effects.

The museum has had them a long time.

Now my understanding is that this museum is a private museum,

which means they're not legally obligated to do what they did, but they're

doing it because it's the right thing to do.

The incident at Wounded Knee occurred in 1890 and this was brought about because the U.S. military did not understand what was happening, what was being

witnessed. They weren't woke.

They didn't understand the culture.

They saw a ghost dance and thought it was a prelude to an attack.

So they attempted to disarm this group of natives.

That process went awry,

and it led to a massacre that has stained the United States ever since.

Now, when I said I was going to do a video about this to a friend of mine,
