So today, we're going to talk about MTG looking to House Johnson as Speaker.

Well, it looks like outgoing Marjorie Taylor Green might have one more trick in her burn book on her way out the door, telling Speaker

of the House Johnson that you can't sit with us.

Our rumor mill and some lightly sourced reporting says that she's feeling out other Republican

members of the House to see who would be willing to support a motion to vacate the chair.

Under new rules put in place after the fiasco that occurred with McCarthy, nine Republicans

are needed to bring about a vote on removing him.

Despite Representative Green, repeatedly saying it's definitely not true, that she's building a coalition to take down Johnson.

The rumor persists, and apparently a source on Capitol Hill told the press, quote,

Marjorie is approaching members to get to nine, who will oust the speaker.

Again, at this point, Green is denying this is happening. Now, it's worth noting that Green is going full on scorched earth on her way out the door

and has lashed out at many of the establishment figures in the Republican Party, like Trump and Johnson,

for not taking women seriously, and for selling out the MAGA base, and the America First

ideas. Now, here's the really weird part about this. Green, if she was looking, which she says she's not, but if she was,

she'd have a hard time finding the initial nine. But there's an almost certainty in the rumor

mill that if it was brought to the floor, Johnson would get the boot. That might sound hard to believe, but remember, the only

reason Johnson is even in his position is because Democrats saved him last time. Representative

Elise Stefonic of New York, who was once a close ally of Johnson, but who is now mounting a run for the

governor's office, seemed to indicate she didn't think Johnson could really make it through a challenge

when she said, quote, I believe that the majority of Republicans would vote for new leadership.
