Well, howdy there, Internet people, it's Bell again.

So today, we're going to talk about Trump's policies over there.

There have been major developments in multiple places in the region, and we're going to provide

a rundown on what's going on.

The developments are wide-ranging, but at least for the moment, are focused on two areas.

Starting off with the Red Sea, Yemen, and Iran.

Trump ordered a series of strikes against Houthi targets.

That campaign looks like it's carrying on into its fourth day.

The stated goal of the most recent U.S. campaign in Yemen is to halt Houthi strikes

against shipping in the Red Sea. The strikes inside Yemen were accompanied by Trump administration

threats against Iran and a demand for Iran to stop backing the Houthis. Since then, Iran has said

the U.S. cannot dictate its foreign policy, and a Houthi leader

basically said bring it, stating that their position regarding shipping was irreversible.

If you missed previous videos, the Houthi goal is to use the hits on shipping to put pressure on the international community

in support of the Palestinians. There has been one change since the U.S. strikes renewed.

The Houthis have been less active against international shipping, but that appears to be

because they're devoting their resources to striking at U.S. Navy vessels.

It looks like they've made at least three attempts against the USS Truman Carrier Group.

Normal U.S. doctrine regarding an attempt on a carrier group is not being followed,

which is probably the best thing for everybody involved right now.

Under normal circumstances, a move against a carrier group would cause a round-the-clock air

campaign that was aimed at totally destroying and destabilizing the country responsible.
