In the news today, yet more evidence of how whether by accidental design

we're presiding over a health service at the moment that is actively discouraging doctors and nurses from either coming here to treat us

or staying here to look after us.

We will look, staying with health matters at why heart disease rates are rising

for the first time in 50 years.

I think you might know the answer to that.

And we will also be looking in the second era of the programme at the Mental Health Awareness Week initiative that, well, from this perspective, seems to be doing an awful lot of good.

Third hour's up for grabs. I like the story about how being particularly easy on the eye.

Do you know, I catch myself occasionally, turning into something that I never thought I'd turn into.

I'd say something like that. It's just some research that suggests, no, some research that has concluded that being attractive can hold a woman back in the workplace

rather than the conventional wisdom being that it advances her.

But I just call myself doing a slightly tongue-in-cheek thing, where I said, easy on the eye.

And I nearly said, am I still allowed to say that?

And you sort of realize how easily you can slip into becoming a sort of reactionary old dinosaur. You start off doing it in jest. So you start off joking. You know, well, of course I can say that. Otherwise, I wouldn't have said it. But as soon as you just, it's like you sow these little seeds of laziness, intellectual laziness. And if you let them, if you water them and you let them grow, then give it six months and I'll genuinely be sitting here going, you're probably not allowed to say that anymore.

Funny one, it's interesting when you notice, when you catch these things happening.

I like the story though.

We shall, if we have time, find out whether or not it is true.
