Well, howdy there internet people, let's bow again. So today we are once again going to talk about

balloons along the Korean Peninsula, the back and forth that is occurring. We will talk about the latest batch and the

cargo that went along with it which is admittedly a little bit more upbeat,

and just kind of check in on how that whole situation is developing.

A quick recap for those who might have missed this storyline.

For years, activists in South Korea have used balloons to fly leaflets, pamphlets, propaganda over to the north.

Most times the activists in the south are North Korean defectors.

Recently, the North responded by sending its own balloons over the

border and those balloons were filled with trash and waste. Now as soon as that occurred, activists in the

South said that they were going to respond. Now this back and forth surprisingly it has had actual diplomatic impacts.

The South suspended an agreement to reduce tensions along the border over the trash balloons.

Now the South has sent its latest volley and the balloons are carrying leaflets.

They also have some U dollars and a whole bunch of USB sticks in those

USB drives. They have K-pop on them, along with dramas.

And those were, from what I understand, have already been released.

So we will of course have to wait and see how the North is going to respond to this

latest provocation, I guess. The back and forth that is occurring, it doesn't really

seem like it's going to end anytime soon. The North did say that they

were going to stop, but now that there has been another shipment from the South, that may change.

Now, it's worth noting that at one point in time,

the South actually did try to stop this practice

by making it illegal but their courts there were like no you can't do that
