Well, howdy there internet people, it's Bo again. And tonight we have Ford Fisher from

0:09.4

News to Share, possibly one of the most annoyingly ethical journalists I know.

0:14.8

Ford, you want to tell them anything about yourself?

0:18.0

Sure, so as Boa just pointed out, I have a very specific kind of formula to my journalism.

0:27.9

I do live stream and raw footage on my outlet news to share. So sometimes you'll see on my own personal kind of wall, you know, I have opinions. I certainly have them, but as far as my actual news coverage of events is concerned, I basically use raw video that has very very little of my own even speaking in the content.

0:50.4

It's just video that shows exactly the thing happening and live stream that shows the thing happening beginning to end.

0:55.6

And I think that that's an unusual formula in today's day and age where a lot of journalism is about kind of postulating and opinions and thinking, you know,

1:05.9

CNN will kind of be like, we are objective because we have someone on the right and

1:10.4

we have someone on the left and we're sticking Anderson Cooper in the

1:13.7

middle of them and so since we have three people talking instead of just one what

1:18.6

you're left with is truth and I wouldn't say that you know it's truth, it's just three people's opinions instead of one.

1:25.0

So, what I do tries to present kind of a new formula and I think that it's one that is popular with the people who watch it.

1:33.7

I think that in general the concept of truth is one that seems to be kind of

1:38.9

evolving in the media and what they think of it. And so I've come up with my method of

1:45.1

bringing it to people other people can have theirs in good faith but but that's

1:49.2

how I go about it and it has it's worked out for you. You've had your footage used like everywhere pretty much.

1:59.3

Right. So I mean this is part of why I think it's important as well is that it's really a building

2:04.7

block to begin the conversation.

2:07.0

So when I say, oh my footage is pure truth, it's pure raw video, you know, I'm just putting

2:12.2

out this is the video of the thing happening.

2:14.0

I'm not trying to tell people that that's all they should have to sort of think about.

2:19.0

There are more steps from there.
