Hello and welcome to the Thinking Fellows podcast. My name is Caleb Keith, and the Thinking Fellows is brought to you by the 1517 podcast network of shows. Today we are talking about baptism. I kicked a bit of a hornet's nest last week, both in terms of four and against arguments for infant baptism.

And so today I am joined by Scott Keith and Adam Francisco in order to relay some of the

questions or the assertions or accusations that people had.

Long-time listeners of the thinking fellows will know that we

in the past used to do Q&A episodes of the show and every time I would announce that we were doing

this Q&A, we would get probably five or six questions about baptism.

And one of the common themes was that basically people were,

we would go over some of the biblical verses about it.

We would explain why Lutherans teach, confess, and practice infant baptism,

and then we'd get more responses afterwards that said that didn't really address my question. And so we would have a hard time putting our fingers on. What exactly

are some of these accusations? Well, I made a tweet about it that was designed to, was designed to

kick this hornet's nest. And I've decided that I'm going to take

some of the replies that I got on the Credo Baptist side, which for those paying attention,

it is sort of baptism by profession, or you have to make a profession of faith,

Credo, I believe, in order to be baptized.

It's generally the descriptor of those traditions

that do not have infant baptism.

And we're going to take some of the gut reactions

that people had or the arguments that they presented against this.

And I'm just going to ask them in no particular order.

And I thought for this episode, it would be fun to give you each a couple minutes to just

see how you would deal with it.
