So today, we're going to talk about how Tala Rico has Trump and Senate Republicans worried.

We've been talking a lot over the last couple of days about how Democrats might be misreading

a new willingness among some congressional Republicans

to buck Trump as something more than pure political math.

As if Republicans, after a decade of Trump's behavior, finally realized it was hurting the U.S.

I've suggested that the real cause is just pure cynical political

maneuvering, and many Republicans breaking with Trump are doing so because they think it will

be more beneficial to not offend independence. In a fun twist of fate, that led to people suggesting I'm too cynical.

When it comes to the behaviors of politicians, I absolutely am cynical.

But that doesn't mean I'm wrong.

Okay. Well, we've got some more evidence that strongly suggests Republicans are going whichever way

the political whim blows at the moment. I'm old enough to remember when the National Republican

Senatorial Committee spent dump trucks full of cash to support Cornyn in the Texas primary.

It was like a week ago.

$90 million was spent by the NRC and other groups to support Cornyn against Paxton.

They really went after Paxton hard.

In fact, their website had an article titled,

Can Paxton's Lies and Incompetence Keep Piling Up? You notice how I said had an article?

It's been deleted.

A whole lot of attacks on Paxton have been scrubbed.

Why?
