Well, howdy there internet people, let's bow again.

So today we are going to talk about the US House of Representatives,

the need for a short-term budget for the United States and McCarthy and how McCarthy is

facing a problem that has basically been an issue for him the entire time and how maybe

this time he can actually handle it. Okay so the U.S. needs a short-term budget, a stopgap. Why? Because the long-term

process, well it broke down. Why? Because while McCarthy is Speaker of the House, he

doesn't really have a whole lot of influence. He can't develop a consensus.

So... He can't develop a consensus.

So the process does not function well,

so they need a short-term solution.

There are divisions within the Republican Party. We've talked

about it recently when it came to Ukraine. The far-right faction of the Republican Party, the furthest right faction of the Republican Party,

they've unveiled a list of demands and said if this if we don't get what we want

we're not going to vote for this short-term budget. Okay. now this is the exact dynamic that has led to McCarthy having, let's be polite, a less than effective period as speaker.

How does this process normally work? What would normally happen?

The House, well it puts up their version, they're a Republican controlled.

The Senate puts up their version.

They're currently controlled by the Democratic Party.

And then the two versions get like kind of

worked out. That's the normal process. So no matter what comes out of the House

it has to make it through the Democratic Party anyway. So if you have a faction of the
