Well howdy there, internet people. It's Bell again. So today, we're going to talk about

Trump's economy versus Biden's. Who had the golden age? After Trump won the 2024 election,

I put out a video going over the core economic data to provide a little snapshot of the state of the economy as Biden was handing it off to Trump.

We did it at the end of November, so Trump's tweets couldn't start influencing things.

As said in that video, Trump's tweets probably would have given Biden a bump in consumer confidence and things like that.

I said you'd need to check in on the video every once in a while.

And I've directed people to it a few times since then.

I also said we'd get a real clear picture of how Trump was doing in about 18 months.

I'm a month or so late. But today, we'll get it done. We'll hit them in the same order as last time.

Personal consumption expenditures, which is the Fed's favorite number, was sitting at 2.3%

when Trump was elected. Now it's 4.1%. That's a massive increase to how quickly prices increase

on you.

I also provided the core number because I prefer that under normal circumstances.

That was at 2.8% under Biden.

It's at 3.4% now.

So Trump's line that the inflation increase is all energy is a lie.

The core reading strips out food and energy.

Trumpflation is real, and it's a direct result of his policies, like the tariffs and his Iran war.

Biden handed Trump a 4.1% unemployment rate,

which was actually a high reading for post-COVID Biden.

But numbers are numbers.

Trump's is 4.2%, so not a huge jump, but still the wrong way.
