Well, howdy there, Internet people, it's Bell again.

So today, we're going to talk about Trump's bill, reading it, and how bad it is.

Trump's bill is being read in full in the Senate.

The bill is about a thousand pages.

The reading of the bill is widely being framed as a stalling tactic. It's more than that.

No Republican can say they didn't know how horrible this bill is. There can be no excuses like

there were in the House when Republican representatives said they didn't know about provisions

of the bill. If Republican senators are too

lazy to read the bill that would upend the lives of hundreds of millions of people, it's being

read for them. They know exactly how horrible this package is for Americans. Don't let them act

like they don't. Senator Lisa Murkowski of Alaska seemed

to be a no vote until Republican leadership included provisions that would boost Medicaid payments

in Alaska. She voted to start the process. To me, that indicates she knows exactly how damaging it will be,

and tried to make sure her state didn't suffer as much. Those provisions got bird bathed. A suspicious

person might think that Republican leadership knew the provisions used to sway Murkowski didn't comply with the bird rule.

Republican Senator Tom Tillis of North Carolina voted against starting debate on the bill

because he took the time to understand the legislation and how badly it's going to hurt Americans.

Trump lashed out at the senator and indicated his intent to back primary challengers to Tillis.

Tom Tillis has since announced he will be voting against the final version of the bill

and that he won't be running for re-election.

This bill is so bad that at least one Republican

is ending their D.C. career rather than voting to hurt the working class to that extreme.
