Well, howdy there, Internet people, it's Bell again. So today, we're going to talk about

Heggseth, women voting, and the missed problem. Secretary of Defense Hegeseth shared a video on

social media of a pastor indicating support for repealing the 19th Amendment and removing the right of women

to vote.

In the repost, Hexha simply said, All of Christ for all of life.

That sparked a small amount of controversy, but that was mostly contained by the reality

that repealing the 19th Amendment is far-fetched to say the

least. Again, changing the Constitution is actually really hard. Beyond that, those who want the

19th Amendment repealed don't seem to understand that the Constitution establishes a lot of minimum

rules, things that must be done, as well as maximum

rules, things that can't be done. The 19th Amendment is a minimum rule. States must allow women to vote.

Repealing the 19th doesn't mean women can't vote. It would be determined by state constitutions.

The list of states with constitutional protections for women is pretty lengthy, and includes a lot of ruby-red states.

So, in an administration plagued by scandal and controversy, a social media post from Heggseth

didn't get much play.

Epstein, L.A., now D.C., the CDC, BLS, NOAA, NWS, NASA, all of these things overroated.

But let's get to the heart of the discussion. The reasoning behind

not allowing women to vote is the idea that our tiny little lady brains just can't make decisions.

The fact that large segments of the Republican Party view women as second class has become so

obvious even Marjorie Taylor Green caught on and said,

quote, I think there's other women in our party that are really sick and tired of the way

men treat Republican women. So, this isn't a new idea from Republicans, and repealing the 19th is a long shot.
