So today, we're going to talk about GOP districts hitting the next find-out stage.

This time, it's investment in their districts when it comes to new tech and greener energy.

Under Biden, there was a surge in investment in greener infrastructure.

From about 18 months after his inauguration on, there was normally more than a billion

dollars per month in new energy projects being announced. It seemed unstoppable.

Of those investments, red congressional districts benefited the most.

62% of the projects were going to red districts.

71% of the jobs.

82% of the total dollar amount.

Now, there's been a change in leadership.

Last month, instead of the normal billion dollars or so, it was only

$176 million. If you take away GE Verona's sprawling and long-planned projects, it drops

to a bit more than $50 million. But the drop in investment is actually not the biggest worry.

With Trump in office, cleaner energy companies are getting cold feet.

Cancellations of projects are mounting.

Since they got the bulk of the new projects, jobs, and investments,

they're also getting the bulk of the cancellations.

If I'm reading the numbers correctly, it looks like they lost $2.7 billion in investment

and 1,300 jobs just last month.
