Well, howdy there, Internet people, it's Bell again.

So today, we're going to talk about Elon versus Trump, budget edition.

We just talked about how Elon gave an interview in which he said he didn't want to talk about the presidency, and then talked about the presidency.

Apparently, he wasn't done undermining Trump's

agenda. Elon took to his social media site to post quote, I'm sorry, but I just can't stand it

anymore. This massive, outrageous, pork-filled congressional spending bill is a disgusting abomination. Shame on those who

voted for it. You know you did wrong. You know it. Elon is talking about the one big, beautiful

bill. This is the budget reconciliation package that formalizes basically the entire Trump agenda. Trump and the Republican

party as a whole have put a massive amount of political capital into seeing this package move forward.

They gave up on Trump's first 100 days. They delayed legislation they could have passed.

They exposed fault lines within their own party.

And they broadcast openly to the working class that they'll take away their social safety nets to give the wealthier Americans a tax break.

Now, Elon is openly attacking it.

The initial post, calling it a disgusting abomination, apparently wasn't enough to make his position clear.

So he followed it up with another post, saying the package, quote,

will massively increase the already gigantic budget deficit to 2.5 trillion, and burden

America's citizens with crushingly unsustainable debt.

So, for the people asking about whether it'll reduce the deficit, you now have Elon Musk

flatly saying it won't. If it adds to the deficit, it adds to the debt.

That apparently still wasn't enough to make his position clear. And he posted, quote,

Congress is making America bankrupt. Republicans seem weirdly taken off guard by the broad side against the Trump agenda,

even though this might be the most consistent position Elon has ever had. Speaker Johnson seems to be

...
