It's Bell again.

So today, we're going to talk about Dems expecting the GOP to oppose Trump.

We've talked about how there are major factions breaking with Trump on certain issues, and

how his impending lame duck status is starting to erode his influence on Capitol Hill.

This is something that is absolutely happening, but it seems like Democrats are misreading the why,

and that is something that could lead them to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.

We're going to be going over some quotes from Senator Corey Booker of New Jersey.

But it's worth noting that our understanding is that this is becoming a widespread belief in democratic circles.

Senator Booker was on ABC News this week, talking about Trump's weaponization fund and how it upset people on both sides of the aisle when he said, quote,

We fought a revolution to stop exactly this, a ruler from taking public funds and doing whatever they want with no checks and balances.

This president is giving us a master class in our own democracy by tearing it down.

When he was asked about the future and the possibility of more Republican pushback in the future,

he said he was absolutely expecting it.

He went on to say that in private conversations, Republicans, quote,

We'll express how aghast they are at the behavior.

The president took one of our sacred memorials to an assassinated president
