well howdy there internet people it's bell again so today we're going to talk about Canada and others joining the EU,

as America declines. Finnish President Alexander Stubb seems to have a very clear read on the

future of the world without a drastic change in American policy. We've talked about it before, and as America First policies, we can U.S. reputation and power

around the world, and the U.S. loses superpower status.

The EU is likely to become one of three major world powers.

Some European leaders see that future, and they know if they are to become a world power, they'll end up playing world power games.

That means that they need the ability to force project, which is a capability the U.S. is throwing away every time Trump insults an ally, or says he'll pull back troops, or refuses to honor a commitment to hypothetically get Tomahawks to Germany.

The Finnish president isn't saying it as bluntly as, hey, we're going to end up a competitor nation to the U.S.

But there's zero doubt in my mind that he's wanting to prepare for the possibility of strengthening during U.S. decline.

He made it clear he thinks the EU should move now, like right now, because they might lose

their chance, or as he said, quote, when the war in Ukraine ends, and perhaps when the U.S.

administration changes, I don't know.

Then people are going to take their foot off the gas pedal.

He's not wrong.

While Canadian and European citizens might hold a grudge against the U.S. for a while,

relations between governments mend quickly.

How does he want to achieve that?

In a way, the same way the U.S. did.
