Well, howdy there, Internet People people let's bow again so today we are going to talk

about California in New York and McCarthy and Santos and dates the dates for the special elections to replace them.

And we're going to talk about what's actually up for grabs and what it means.

Okay, so if you missed it, former Speaker of the House, McCarthy, you know, he's leaving, he's done with Congress.

Governor Gavin Newsom has set the special election dates.

The primary will be March 19th, and the actual general election will be May 21st.

That's for California's 20th District. Now on the other side of the country

we have the special election for Santos coming up to replace to replace Santos.

That is February 13th. So, realistically, the McCarthy one, that's going to be another Republican.

It's not impossible for a Democratic candidate to win, but it seems unlikely.

With the Santo seat, with that one, the Democratic Party can win that. And if they do, it helps shrink the Republican

majority in the House. Right now, one of the problems the Democratic Party is facing is a very dysfunctional House of

Representatives. The Republican Party can't agree on anything. They don't have any policy to really get behind.

There's a lot of talking points, a lot of infighting.

And it is derailing well everything not by the normal way Republicans

derail stuff which is by obstructing any Democratic party
