One treads not lightly into the land of, hey, it could get worse, you know, especially

not with some degree of banking uncertainty still in the air.

But on the theory that the more you know, the more you know, it is time to dig a little

deeper into what regional banks actually do in this economy.

And other than in some relatively specific markets, like say, taking deposits from and

making loans to high-tech startups, a lot of what regional and community banks do is

commercial real estate lending.

Now the direct banking stresses we have seen of late seam to be coming down somewhat

emphasis on seams.

But if another proverbial shoe is going to drop, it might well be the dress shoes you

are no longer wearing to the office.

Marketplace is met 11, gets us going.

Okay.

So before you go stuffing your money into your mattress or shoebox or Bitcoin derivatives

or something, all the commercial real estate and banking experts I talked to today did

not say the sky is falling.
