Well, howdy there, Internet people, it's bell again. So today, we're going to talk about B-2's

being moved and what it means. So there's a lot of speculation about the movement of American

B-2 spirits to a little known and even less talked about facility called Diego Garcia. The speculation arises from what exactly

might be going on. There's a lot of theories floating around and we're going to run through the options.

The mere presence of the B-2s has already caused at least one country to publicly comment.

So first, why does the movement of the B-2s matter? The spirit is a low-observable,

stealth-heavy strategic bomber. Its whole reason for being is to penetrate opposition air defenses

and hit selected high-value targets and disappear. Or it penetrates opposition air defenses

and destroys those defenses to clear the way for

less specialized aircraft. The aircraft is capable of just flat out astonishing distances while

using airborne refueling support. Back in October of 2001, in one of the longer acknowledged

operations, B-2s took off at Whiteman, that's in Missouri,

flew to Afghanistan, hit targets, and returned to Missouri. Because of its incredible range,

eyebrows and tensions go up when they are forward-deployed. Then being sent to Diego Garcia

definitely raised Iran's eyebrows. Quote,

there will be no distinction in targeting British or American forces if Iran is attacked

from any base in the region. Diego Garcia is a joint U.S. U.S. U.S. U.K. base in the British

Indian Ocean territory. So Iran is understandably concerned,

especially since Trump just said he'd bond them if they didn't agree to a nuclear deal.

The possibility of open war with Iran has been the focal point of much of the speculation.

And given everything I just went over, it's justified speculation.
