Well, howdy there internet people? It's Bell again. So today we're going to talk about

Georgia, the election board, and yet another Republican fed up with Trumpism and the election stunts.

Georgia State Election Board Chair John Fervier gave an interview to the Atlanta Journal

Constitution.

He was appointed by Republican Governor Brian Kemp and describes himself as a traditional

conservative.

He chairs the election board that has voted 3 to 2 to require hand counting ballots in the

swing state, along with other controversial decisions.

When the vote happened, he said, quote, the overwhelming number of election officials

that have reached out to me have been opposed to this. He continued and explained his concerns back

then saying quote, there are several things that concern me about this. Number

one, I do think it's too close to the election. I do.

Then, went on to explain how much of a problem it would be to train election workers in the limited amount of time.

That decision is now the subject of lawsuits and hearings, which apparently led the chair

to be even more blunt in his criticisms of the board's partisan slant

and what he sees as disruptive behavior.

He said, quote, our job is to clarify law, not create new law. Then added, this doesn't need to be an

activist board. This board needs to stay within its boundaries.

He talked about the mudslinging that is started within the Georgia GOP and what he called character assassination.
