Welcome to The Girl Next Door. I'm Erica. And I'm Kelsey. In every episode, we bring our different

0:09.0

perspectives to candid conversations that feel like chatting with good friends. We started this show

0:14.1

years ago when we were next door neighbors and still haven't run out of things to talk and

0:17.9

laugh about yet. Always on the podcast, we want to bring you honest conversations about all of life,

0:24.0

from the silly and fun to the deep topics that tend to be harder to talk about, but are also

0:29.3

0:30.2

So today, we want to approach the topic of abortion and reproductive rights with

0:34.6

sensitivity and care.

0:36.5

nuanced, but also imperfect conversations in our everyday lives and how to continue talking

0:55.5

I don't remember anyone sitting down and explaining to me. I don't

1:13.9

remember, you know, a specific memory of reading about it in some way. So I think it just must have

1:20.0

been this thing that I gleaned just over time growing up. My parents are both supportive of

1:26.0

abortion rights. So I'm sure that I picked, I picked that up

1:29.6

along the way. Yeah. I don't remember them specifically saying something, but we would have the

1:34.1

newspaper out. And as I got older, I would just kind of hear them, you know, reference things or

1:38.8

maybe we'd kind of talk about things. We would listen to NPR in the car. So I'm sure that things like

1:43.6

that came up. I also read a lot of
