0:09.0	continuing a brand new month in the Gospels over on Let's Read the Gospels podcast.
0:15.0	We're going through the Let's Read the Gospels guided journal together as well.
0:21.0	We're going to share the first couple of days with you here on

0:34.1	Then for the month of May we're going to be reading the book of acts and then we're done.
0:39.2	So here is day two that I wanted to share with you of the month of April are day two of Let's Read
0:45.3	the Gospel's Guided Journal. We're reading John, chapters 4 through 6.
0:59.0	John 4. Jesus knew the Pharisees had heard that he was baptizing and making more disciples than John, though Jesus himself didn't baptize them, his disciples did.
1:04.2	So he left Judea and returned to Galilee.
1:06.9	He had to go through Samaria on the way.
1:09.2	Eventually he came to the Samaritan village of Sicar near the field that Jacob gave his son Joseph.
1:14.6	Jacob's well was there and Jesus tired from the long walk sat wearily beside the well
1:19.2	about noontime. Soon a Samaritan woman came to draw water and Jesus said to her,
1:24.6	please give me a drink. He was alone at the time because his disciples had gone into
1:29.6	the village to buy some food. The woman was surprised for Jews refused to have anything to do with
1:35.2	Samaritans. She said to Jesus you are a Jew and I am a Samaritan woman. Why are you asking me for a drink?
1:43.5	Jesus replied if you only knew the gift God has for you, and who you are speaking to, you
1:48.8	would ask me and I would give you living water.
