All right guys, welcome to the Southern Tea. This is Lindsay and Katie and we are so excited for our first episode. Hey guys. Oh my gosh, this is so crazy. Oh my god. It's so fun. It's real. It's so funny. Um, setting up to like record with you since it's the first time.

Like, if you even ever guessed hosted on a podcast before, never. Like I'm as new as you can be in this world. So funny because I didn't even think to tell you like how to do stuff. And um, all the calls that we've had for podcast.

I can't see you. So it's just funny to me. I'm just like imagining your face and like what it looks like. Yeah, I'm like what's happening. Okay. I've got a lot to learn but we'll get there. We'll get there. I love it. So introduce yourself Katie. And then I will introduce myself so that both of our audiences know each other.

Okay, also Katie Harle. Sure. A lot of you already know that. So I am originally from Goodall Sparkle City, Spartanburg, South Carolina.

I was born and raised. And then I actually went to Clemson graduated from Clemson. And then I was in corporate for like, I think like six years. And then I always was obsessed with fashion bloggers. So I followed like literally all of them. And then one day I just woke up and I was like, you know what, I really want to do this. So took a leap and started it.

I just took off like I had no clue. It was going to take off. And then eventually I think it was like six months into a year. I realized that I was making pretty good money from it. And then actually finally quit my corporate job and started doing this full time.

Oh, and I didn't even mention that I live in Charlotte.

Oh, my gosh. So I didn't even I kind of knew a little bit of that, but I didn't know that you gained interest from like following other fashion bloggers. Like I didn't know if you were like always into fashion or if it's something because some people do it like also while working a corporate job.

And I've heard a lot of girls talk about on their stories that are in that little realm of Instagram space that you're in that they work corporate jobs up until a certain point until they feel like they can separate from that.

So you only did that for six months or you just like, yeah, I only did it for like I can't remember it was like anywhere between six months in a year.

And I was just so much happier like when I was at my corporate job, I would sit there and all would think about was blogging.

And I was like, I was legit sneaking out of the office early to go like shoot and take pictures of my outfits. And so I got to the point where I was like, came, I really just like I feel like if I can focus on this 100%

and this be what I focus on, I feel like it can do so well. So we talked about it and prayed about it and talked to like his family about it, my family, my friends and everyone was like we totally think that you should do this full time.

So I eventually just did it and it was cool too because my corporate job, they were all like really supportive of it.

Really, yeah, they were happy for me. I think they could just tell I was like super passionate about it. So it wasn't as hard as I thought it was going to be to leave.

Well, my story is a little bit different. I am also originally from Anderson, South Carolina, which is not too far from sparkle city.

And then in between fourth and fifth grade, I believe it was my family moved to Atlanta and then moved to California for a year and then moved back to Atlanta and have been here ever since.

But I still consider like my, what do you call like formative years or whatever, you know, from birth to like a fourth or fifth grade girl, I consider myself a South Carolina girl still.

Yeah, and then I went to Georgia State University and the city of Atlanta and that's where I met Will and my whole idea of going to college was to go to college and just be a sorority girl and not have a boyfriend and then I met will in September of that year.

So look at that. It didn't it didn't really work out as planned, but like probably obviously God's plan, just not my plan. And then we dated for all of college and then got married.

My senior year and then got pregnant very shortly after that.

Well, wait, I didn't know y'all got married your senior year. Yeah, so he actually had just graduated school and then I think I had one or two semesters left of school.
