0:55.0	Welcome to the Cabinet of Curiosities. Everyone believes that their kids are special, but in August of 1846 a couple couple in Nova Scotia, Canada had a truly extraordinary baby.
1:16.1	Her name was Anna Haining Swan, and she was born weighing 16 pounds.
1:21.3	To put that in perspective, the average newborn weighs about 7 pounds.
1:25.3	Anna Swan was huge and it seems like she would never stop growing. By the time she was
1:30.8	six years old Anna was taller than her mom. At 11 she
1:34.3	towered over her dad too. She finally topped out at 17 years old, by which point she
1:39.7	stood at a whopping 7 feet 11 inches tall and weighed over 400 pounds. As you might imagine,
1:46.8	being nearly 8 feet tall pose some logistical problems, especially in the 1800s,
1:52.1	the world just wasn't built to accommodate a person of Anna's size.
1:55.0	It was hard for her to get around, hard to make friends, and practically impossible to get a job.
