When did you learn how not to cry?

Maybe when you were little, you fell down and someone said,

it's okay, don't cry.

Or maybe at school you cried one day, and then other kids made fun of you.

I mean, it's weird.

Crying is not only natural, it's healing. There's a reason

we feel better after a good cry. And now, a new pro-crying movement is trying to erase the

stigma and encourage us all to let the tears out. In this episode of To the Best of Our Knowledge,

a celebration of crying.

Crying is one of the most human things we do.

That's how we respond to intense feelings, like grief or pain pain or even overwhelming joy.

Tears actually have a biological purpose.

There are times we need to cry.

But what if you can't? There is a significant portion of our population that struggles with crying.

Many of them are men, and some don't cry at all, ever.

I've been feeling like so damn laws.
