1:01.5	And he is the James S. McDonald, Distinguished University professor and the chair of the Department of African American Studies at Princeton University.
1:12.3	He is the former president of the American Academy of Religion, the largest professional
1:17.7	organization of scholars of religion in the world. Glod is the author of several important
1:23.4	books, including Democracy and Black, How Race Still Enslaves the American Soul, which has been described as, quote, one of the most imaginative, daring books of the 20th century, end quote. And his most recent book, Begin Again, James Baldwin's America and its urgent lessons for our own was released on June 30th of 2020.
