Summary

Olivia Rodrigo is the subject of the internet's ire for *checks notes* allegations of pedobaiting. The star's music video and stage outfits - consisting of babydoll dresses, bloomers and ruffles - are causing controversy as the 'drop dead' singer is accused of simultaneously sexualising and infantilising herself and indoctrinating her young audience into pandering to the male gaze.

In this week's episode, hosts Ione and Gina question if the outfits are problematic in and of themselves and ask what happens when women are blamed for society's sexism.

Whilst I don't always agree, I appreciate the arguments Iione and Gina present week on week with different topics as they help me to form my own opinions and conclusions on a topic.

Beautiful.

There's more.

I just listened to the episode with Olivia Graham about the podcast she released with the BBC on The Beast of Buckinghead. Similar to Gina, I had recently stopped listening to True Crime after finding years of listening to cases back to back became too much for me. However, I absolutely loved Olivia's podcast series. It held so much respect and consideration for the victims of the case, something which is really overlooked

in a lot of true crime media. Thank you, Olivia, for spending 18 plus months working on that story

1:32.6

and keeping it alive in the hopes that will one day be solved. Class gals all round love heart.

our Tracy Emmon episode from last week. Eliza says, loved attending this. Sad to not get the opportunity to finish the Q&A due to the fire alarm. Very wholesome to see your team supporting events for young people slash the Gen Z galis as one of the oldest salenials in the room. Well, Gina's 23, so. I know. I'm one of the younger gengies, if anything.

But thank you, Eliza. Thank you, Eliza. Annabelle King says, loved hearing this in person,

but was still a great discussion and loved the depth, as always, from Gina and Ione. Thank you. Also, I feel like we should say, because I don't even know if we've spoken about it on the podcast, that there is polyester book coming out. Uh, wow, wow, wow. The polyester book of bad taste. I have no idea what you're going to say. I was like, fuck. Nothing bad. Announcement.ment, announcement. The polyester book of bad taste. The polyester book of bad taste edited by founding editor-in-chief Ione Gamble featuring some of the greatest minds of our generation as well as me. And Jean Notonic. We got Tarvey Gevinson.
