Our scriptural text today comes from the book of Psalm, chapter 46 and verse 8 through 10 from the passion translation of scripture.

You notice there these words, everyone look, come and see the breathtaking wonders of our God.

For he brings both ruin and revival.

He's the one who makes conflicts in throughout the earth,

breaking and burning every weapon of war.

Surrender your anxiety.

Be still and realize that I am God.

I am God above all the nations.

I am exalted throughout the whole earth.

We're speaking today from the subject, let go, let God. Let go. Let God.

Isn't it interesting here that the scripture here says that God brings forth both ruin and revival? God will sometimes let certain things in your life fail so that we realize that we have a need

because you won't see a Savior until you realize that you need one.

It is when the student is ready that the teacher will appear.

And so sometimes God has to ruin your ability to figure things out, ruin your knowledge base,

where you run out of figuring out the answer to the degree that you realize I need a teacher.

When God will allow you to experience problems on a level and you realize this is above my pay grade.

So I've got to surrender this to a higher power.

So God brings forth both ruin and revival.

It is not until he ruins the stuff that you had built your confidence in, that you

realize that now, God, I've got to turn to you because I had put somebody else in your place.

So he lets the relationship fail. He lets that career begin to dry up where that money source

was coming in. He will ruin that so that you will realize your success is not your source.
