Go to John 15.

John 15 talks about learning how to abide. What does the word abide means? It means live, dwell, remain.

When you're abiding somewhere, you're there in a constant state. It's not an occasional

visit but that's that's where you dwell. If I say well my residence is I abide at

and I give my address that means I live there it doesn't mean that I visit

there occasionally I'm visiting Washington DC so I wouldn't say well this is my

abode I abide in St. Louis well we're told to abide in St. Louis. Well we're told to abide in Christ. He said apart from me you can

do nothing in John 15-5. Apart from me you can do nothing. John 15-7, wonderful promise. If you, if you, everybody say

if, if you, if you abide in me and my word abides in you, you can ask whatever you will and I'll do it.

I mean I've been walking this walk for 29 years and I'm still trying to get that through my head.

Anything I ask, how could God say that?

Because I'm, you know, got a flash and I could ask for the wrong thing. Well I believe if we can ever

really master this total abiding life that we would be so close to God that first of all we would instinctively know what his will was and we wouldn't be asking

for things that were if you abide in me and my word abides in you and my, know we know to meditate on the word we know to make the word of God first place in our life we know we know we know but do we do it
