nicely, and of course I'm going to be giving a very

short overview, given the length of this little podcast. So don't be worried. That's what's coming.

But on to today's podcast. Today I'm going to talk to you about some of the things I have learned

in the kitchen, because as we head into Thanksgiving and

Christmas, we all have lots of fun work waiting for us in our kitchens.

First of all, the kitchen really is a classroom. We are the students, and God is a teacher.

And it's not just about learning to cook. The kitchen is a place where we learn about life.

We learn about food, of course, and we learn about feeding people and serving them. But we also

learn much about ourselves, especially how dependent we must be on the Holy Spirit to serve God and

glorify him in our kitchens.

This is Bedrock.

If we think we can be great cooks without reverence to our maker,

we will not reap the fruit of joy and wisdom that comes when we offer all our service in the kitchen

as means of pleasing and glorifying Him.

Others may praise your cooking,

but is God pleased? That is our goal, to please God and enjoy the duty he's bestowed on us in the kitchen. A woman who's cooking for her family every day is learning the art of thinking of others

and putting their interest ahead of her own.
